Popular play-to-earn (P2E) game platform Hamster Kombat is experiencing disruption as gamers express growing rage and irritation about recent disqualifications from the site’s much-awaited Season 1 airdrop.

A significant portion of the community feels misled and disillusioned due to what many players perceive to be unfair criteria, which has caused a reaction.

The first season of Hamster Kombat’s in-game prizes will end on September 20, 2024, the company has revealed. This is in advance of the much-awaited introduction and airdrop of the HMSTR token the following week.

The Outrage: Promises broken and unfair disqualifications

The outcry is focused on the abrupt and unannounced disqualification of roughly 63% of participants in the Season 1 airdrop, which is purportedly because they gathered in-game keys. It was originally believed by many players that these keys were not necessary to be eligible for airdrops.

But as the airdrop got closer, it became evident that gathering keys was essential to getting rewards, which led to several players being eliminated.
